Pairing tags with assets

Who can do it: Service provider, customer user

An asset is tracked only after you pair it with a tag. The anchors detect the tag, and the platform shows the position of the asset on the floor plan.

1. Go to the Assets page.

2. Optionally, click No tag to see only the assets that aren’t tracked yet.

3. In the asset row, click the icon and select Change tag.

   

4. In the Tag field, select the tag from the list. To find the tag faster, start typing its name or ident.

5. Select the required tag from the list. To find the tag faster, use its ident.

6. Click Pair.

The platform starts tracking the asset. The asset appears on the floor plan once the anchors detect its tag.

To find tags that aren’t paired yet, open the Tags page and click Free. To pair a tag from this page, open it and select the asset.

The asset record isn’t linked to a specific tag, so you can replace a faulty tag or a tag with a discharged battery and keep the asset history.

1. On the Assets page, click the icon in the asset row and select Change tag.
   
2. Do one of the following:
   • To pair the asset with another tag, select the tag from the list.
   • To leave the asset without a tag, clear the current value.
3. Click Save.

The unpaired tag becomes free, and you can pair it with another asset.
