In this section, you can customize the set of widgets available in the mobile application.

Send photos from the application | Activate this option to display the Send photo widget in the mobile application. It allows sending photos from the device camera to the Wialon server. Regardless of whether this widget is available, the WiaTag user can send photos when receiving a request from Wialon. The photos sent on request are compressed. In the monitoring system, the received photos are shown in the window that opens when you click on the Media from units icon in the bottom panel. Also, you can see them in the table of data messages and in the Images report. |
Compress photos | Activate this option in order for the photos sent from the mobile application to the Wialon server to be compressed: the larger side to 1536 pixels, the other proportionally. This allows reducing traffic consumption. The WiaTag user can enable or disable the same option in the settings of the Send photo widget. |
Send images from the application | Activate this option to display the Send image widget in the mobile application. It allows sending images from the device gallery to the Wialon server. Besides, the received codes are shown as the qr parameter in the table of data messages and in the Messages tracing report. |
Send SOS messages | Activate this option to display the Send SOS widget in the mobile application. It allows sending alarm messages to the Wialon server. In the field below, you can specify the emergency phone number which should be called from the mobile device when sending an alarm message. Indicate the phone number in international format. The WiaTag user can specify it independently in the settings of the Send SOS widget. In the monitoring system, the received alarm messages are highlighted in red in the log and in the table of data messages. They are also displayed as the alarm parameter in the Messages tracing report. Besides, you can configure a notification of the Alarm (SOS) type in Wialon in order to receive it every time an alarm message comes from the unit. |
Send location | Activate this option to display the Send location widget in the mobile application. It allows sending the device coordinates to the Wialon server. To determine the unit location, the application uses Google algorithms which allow identifying the coordinates by means of GPS, Wi-Fi and cell stations. In the monitoring system, the received coordinates are displayed in the Chat with drivers dialog box and in the Chat report. Besides, the device coordinates are sent to the server automatically with every message (if determined). You can see them in the table of data messages and in the Messages tracing report. |
Use the chat function | Activate this option to display the Chat widget in the mobile application. The chat allows the WiaTag user to send text messages, scanned QR and barcodes, alarm messages, coordinates, photos from the camera, and images from the gallery. These features are available in the chat if the widgets corresponding to them are activated for the device. In the monitoring system, you can see the received text messages, coordinates, and scanned codes in the Chat with drivers dialog box, and the photos and images in the window that opens when you click on the Media from units icon in the bottom panel. All the information sent to the Wialon server is displayed in the table of data messages. Besides, you can execute the Chat, Images, and Messages tracing reports. To send messages to the mobile application, you can use the Send message to driver command in the monitoring system or the Chatterbox application. |
BLE beacon | Activate this option to display the BLE beacon widget in the mobile application. It shows the connection state of the BLE beacon paired with the device. For Android devices, the supported formats are Altbeacon, Eddystone-TLM, Eddystone-UID, Eddystone-URL, iBeacon. For iOS devices, only the iBeacon format is supported. To pair a beacon with the device, enter the unique identifier of the beacon in the field below. If an iOS device is used, the beacon ID should be specified in the following format: FFFFFFFFFFFF-A111-B222-C333-44DDD4D4D4D4D4D4D. For Android devices, you can specify it either in this format or without hyphens (in a single line). For beacons which support two and more unique identifiers (for example, Eddystone UID), you can enter the second identifier after the first, separated by a colon. For example, 0000000000000000AAAA:000000000000. |
