What's new

The new version of Wialon Local is released once a year. This changelog is dedicated to the changes in the new version of Wialon Local. Here you can also find the description of minor changes and fixes that may be made during the year.

In this version, we added and improved the following features:

Improvements in the Local administration system:

• Added option for viewing and deleting synchronization cache.
• Added section displaying active and recent background services.
• Added option for database compression in the backup mode.
• Added color indicators for memory usage alerts in the System info section.
• “Events” module now permanently enabled.
• Set recommended default values for the “Events” module and Restoring resources and unit properties sections.

Improvements in CMS Manager:

• Added Import time column in the unit table.
• Added option for selecting protocol for the SMTP-server in billing plan properties.

Updated user interface components.

Improvements for driving behaviour monitoring:

• Updated Eco driving report table. It shows violations detected during the whole report interval, not just within trips. See Eco driving.
• Added idling detection criterion in the unit properties. See Adding criteria.
• Penalty averaging settings have been moved to the report settings.
• Added penalty averaging and new columns in the Eco Driving solution.

Added functionality for electrical vehicles monitoring. See How to monitor electrical vehicles in Wialon.

Exclude drains from fuel consumption option has been moved from report settings to the fuel level sensor settings to minimize discrepancies between mobile and web versions.

Updated user interface components.

Added bulk import of fuel fillings, drivers, and units from CSV and XLSX files. See Import from CSV/XLSX.

• Added search and bulk import of vehicles in WASL.

• Added support for Truck restrictions additional layer for HERE.
• Optimized request frequency for Google Maps.
• Improved Google Maps quality in Locator.
• Supported Visicom API update.
• Improved road connection in Gurtam Maps.

• Added option for unsubscribing from emails sent after notification or job triggering. See Unsubscribe feature.
• Added Notification triggers report table.

More precise fuel and sensor data calculation with reduced discrepancies between web and mobile versions. See Data processing in Wialon.

• Improved Statistics table customization: add custom columns, configure interval filtering and other settings. See Statistics.
• Added new filters in the Events table.

Added functionality for managing fleet-related issues:

• Tasks tab in the monitoring system
