Math Consumption Wizard
  • math_consumption

The math consumption wizard simplifies the process of creating and configuring the sensors for the mathematical calculation of fuel consumption. Fuel consumption is calculated in accordance with the unit speed.

To open the math consumption wizard, click on the button of the same name on the Sensors tab in the unit properties.

The window of the wizard looks as follows:

The following settings can be available here:

Setting

Description

Replace current efficiency sensors

It is shown if the unit has engine efficiency sensors. This option is activated by default. When you click OK, the sensors created before are replaced with the new ones. If the option is not activated, the new sensors are added to the existing ones.

Consumption in different modes

This setting allows you to specify fuel consumption in different modes.

  • Consumption, l/h. Fuel consumption during idling. When you specify the value of this field, it is indicated automatically in the first ignition sensor you have created. If the field is not filled in, fuel consumption during idling is calculated as [urban cycle/10] in accordance with the statistical data.
  • Urban cycle, l/100 km. Fuel consumption in the urban cycle (required).
  • Suburban cycle, l/100 km. Fuel consumption in the suburban cycle.

When you click OK, an ignition sensor is created (or the value of consumption during idling is modified for the existing sensors), as well as an engine efficiency sensor with the parameter (speed + #speed)/const2. The values of consumption in urban and suburban cycles and the minimum moving speed from the trip detector are used for the calculation table. If the value of consumption in the suburban cycle is not indicated, the calculation table is generated considering only fuel consumption in the urban cycle.

Seasonal coefficient

This setting allows you to specify an increasing or decreasing coefficient for calculating fuel consumption within a specific season.

Enter a coefficient in percent in the Seasonal coefficient field (a negative number if the coefficient is decreasing). Specify the time frames of the season in the From and To fields.

When you click OK, an engine efficiency sensor with the parameter time:d is created.

All the sensors created by means of the math consumption wizard have the mark (wizard) in their names.
