Updating a customer account using a template

Where: Wialon Platform Studio

You can apply a template configuration to add entities from the template to an existing customer account. If the customer account already contains entities, they won’t be removed, the entities from the template will be added to them.

  1. In the navigation menu, go to the Customers tab.

  2. Select the customer account you want to update.

  3. Click on the icon three dots icon in the customer row and select the Update via template action.

  4. Select the template you want to apply from the available list.

  5. Define the entities types you want to add to the customer account from the template:

    • Jobs
    • Actions
    • Category groups
    • Categories
    • Geofences
    • Geofence groups
  6. Click Save to confirm the update.

The entities from the template will be added to the customer account from the chosen template
