Сreating a service manually for unplanned maintenance

Who can do it: Service provider, Customer
Where: Wialon Platform FleetSpace

Prerequisites
  • The Maintenance module is enabled for the customer.
  • The customer user has been created in Wialon Platform Studio and has permissions for services.

For unexpected repairs or issues, you can manually create a service to ensure all maintenance activities are tracked within the system. To do this:

  1. On the Maintenance page, select the Services tab.

  2. Click New service.

  3. Enter a concise and descriptive service Name. For example, Replace damaged windshield.

  4. Select the device that requires maintenance.

  5. Set the service’s Priority (for example, Ugent) using the dropdown menu.

  6. Set the service’s initial Status (for example, To do).

  7. If known, enter the estimated or actual Cost of the service, for example 4 or 4.5. Use a dot for fractions.

  8. Set a Deadline for the service using the calendar.

Optional settings:

  • In the Notes field, provide a detailed description of the issue, the work required, or any other relevant information.
  • Set the additional properties defined by your service provider in Wialon Platform Studio. Click Upload file to attach relevant documents, such as photos of the damage, parts invoices, warranties and receipts.
  1. Click Save to create the new service.

After that, the service appears in the list.

Creating a service for a past period

If a service was completed before it was entered into the system, you can log with a date that has already passed. To do this:

  1. On the Maintenance page, select the Services tab.

  2. Click New service and fill in the service details (name, device, priority, cost, and so on).

  3. Set the Status to Done. The Execution time field appears.

  4. In the Execution time field, select the date and time when the work was actually completed. The completion date can be earlier than the service creation date.

  5. Click Save. The service is saved with the Done status and the actual completion date.
