Automatic (sensor-based) assignments
In addition to manual driver assignments, the system can automatically assign and unassign drivers based on driver card data from tachograph devices.
When a driver inserts their tachograph card, the system reads the driver code from the telemetry data and looks for a matching driver in the system. If a driver with the same code is found, an automatic assignment is created between the driver and the device.
When the driver card is removed, the assignment ends automatically.
For automatic assignments to work, the following conditions must be met:
- The device is configured to report driver identification telemetry (for example, via a tachograph with a driver card reader).
- The driver exists in the system with a driver code that matches the identification value reported by the device.
If the driver code received from the device doesn’t match any driver code existing in the system, no assignment is created.
