Creating a template from an existing customer

Where: Wialon Platform Studio
If you have an existing customer account with a well-structured or exemplary configuration, you can extract it to create a new template.

In the navigation menu, go to the Customers page.

Select the Customer templates tab.

Click New template.

Provide a unique name for the new template. Add a description (optionally).

Select Create from existing customer.

Select the customer account you want to use as a source for the template.

Select entities or settings you want to add to the template. Available options are:
- Action templates
- Automations
- Checklist templates
- Geofence groups
- Geofences
- Labels and label groups
- Settings
- Billing plan and enabled features

Click Save to confirm the creation.
The template has been created and contains the selected entities and settings. You can access it on the Customers page, under the Customer templates tab.
