Drivers

The Drivers module is crucial for enhancing the functionality of Wialon Platform by integrating driver data into the system.
Effective driver management directly impacts operational efficiency, safety, performance, and cost control.

Prerequisites
  • Your customer has the Fleet digitalization billing plan assigned.
  • The Drivers feature is enabled in the Features section of the customer profile. If you create a customer from a template or by copying another customer, check that this feature is enabled for them.
  • To give a customer user access to driver profiles, grant the Read permission in the Drivers section on the Permissions tab of the user details. To let the user create, edit, or delete driver profiles, also grant the Create, Update, or Delete permissions. To let the user grant drivers access to the Wialon Driver app on the Drivers management page, grant the Access to Driver App permission. See Managing user permissions.

Drivers are platform entities with properties such as name, tachograph code, phone number and others.
They can be assigned to vehicles, and their activities, including trips, work intervals, mileage, and events.

The Drivers module interacts with other modules like Driving behavior, Tachograph control, Reports and Forms.

Configuring and using the module includes the following scenarios:

  1. Customizing driver profile view
  2. Managing a driver profile
  3. Managing driver assignments
  4. Managing tachograph files
  5. Analyzing driver information in reports

Available features

Once the module is enabled, the Drivers functionalities are accessible for the selected customer.

Features in Wialon Platform Studio become available automatically. Features in Wialon Platform FleetSpace must be added and configured manually.
