Creating a new label

Individual labels can be assigned to devices. You can assign a new label to an existing group to make it exclusive or leave it as a standalone label that can be combined with others.

To create a label:

1. In Wialon Platform Studio, navigate to the Customers tab.

2. Select the desired customer.

3. Navigate to the Labels tab.

4. Click the New label button.

5. In the Name field, enter the name for the label (for example, Busy).

6. To make this an exclusive label, select the appropriate group from the Label group dropdown list (for example, Operational status). If you leave this as None, the label can be applied independently.

   Labels that are not assigned to any group are automatically placed in the Autonomous system group. You can’t change the name of this group.

7. Click Save.

8. Repeat the process to create other labels as needed. For example, create a Free label and also assign it to the Operational status group.

The Vehicle type group is system-managed and can’t be edited or deleted.
