Creating a template from scratch

Where: Wialon Platform Studio

This process allows you to create a new, empty customer template and then configure its settings manually.

1. In the navigation menu, go to the Customers section.
2. Select the Customer templates tab.
3. Click Add.
4. Provide a unique name for the new template. Add a description (optionally).
5. Select Start from scratch.
6. Click Save to create the empty template.
7. Go to the Customer templates tab again, find the newly created template’s details and click on its name to access its details.
8. Adjust configurable elements such as labels, automations, geofence groups, or various settings as needed.
9. Click Save to confirm the changes.

The template has been created. You can access it on the Customers section on the Customer templates tab.
