Granting permissions to activate private use

To allow a customer user to activate or deactivate the Private use mode for a device, you must grant them the necessary permissions in Wialon Platform Studio. Activating private use through the software method (via a widget in Wialon Platform FleetSpace) requires the ability to update device properties.

To grant permissions to activate private use, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Wialon Platform Studio.
2. Navigate to the Customers tab.
3. Select the customer account that contains the user for whom you want to grant permissions.
4. Go to the Users tab within the customer details.
5. Select the user profile you want to modify, or create a new user.
6. Go to the Permissions tab.
7. In the Devices section, check the box next to Update to grant the user permission to modify device settings.
8. Click Save.
