Configuring video widgets

Service providers can configure widgets in Wialon Platform FleetSpace to display video streams and media files for their customers.

To configure video widgets, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Wialon Platform FleetSpace as the customer.

2. Navigate to the Devices page and click on any device to open the device details page.

3. Ensure the required workspace is selected. If you need to create a new workspace, see the guide on creating a new workspace.

4. Click the icon in the sidebar to enable the editor mode.

5. Click Add widget.

6. Add the required widgets:

   • Video stream: Provides a player for viewing live video streams from a device.
   • Media: Displays a list of media files (videos and photos) with a calendar for navigation.
   • Latest video: Shows the most recently saved video from the device.

   To quickly find the widget in the list, start typing its name in the Search bar.

7. Click the button in the toolbar to apply the widget configuration to the workspace.

You can add several Video stream widgets to the same page and assign a separate camera channel to each of them. This way, customers see, for example, the front and the rear camera streams side by side.

For each Video stream widget, set the camera channel from 1 to 8. Each camera of the device has its own channel number. See the device manufacturer documentation to find out which number corresponds to which camera.

To add another stream, repeat the steps above and select a different camera channel. Each widget works independently: starting or stopping the stream in one widget doesn’t affect the others.

After configuring the workspace, you must grant the customer user permission to access it. When this user logs in to FleetSpace with their credentials, the video widgets you’ve configured will be available in their workspace.
