Configuring video functionality for a device

Service providers can configure video-related settings for devices in Wialon Platform Studio. The specific settings depend on the device model. A list of supported devices, their available commands, and parameters can be found on the flespi site.

Follow these steps to configure video functionality for a device:

1. Go to the Devices page and find the required device.
2. Click on the device to open its details.
3. On the General tab, in the Cameras section, click the Add button.
4. Select the camera number (channel) and provide a name, for example, “Front camera,” “Cabin camera”.
5. You can optionally activate the Commands configuration toggle to set default parameters for video commands. These settings can also be defined later when creating command templates or at the time of command execution.
6. Repeat the steps 3-5 for other cameras if the device has several.
7. Click Save.

Once the settings are saved, you can proceed to configure the relevant widgets in Wialon FleetSpace, such as the Video stream, Media, and Latest video widgets, to view the video data.
