Creating Tasks

Prerequisites

The access rights required to create tasks are listed on the Tasks page.

Tasks can be created in two ways:

  • automatically, that is, when a notification with the Create task action is triggered;
  • manually, that is, using the button on the Tasks tab.

Manual creation of tasks is described below.

Creating tasks manually

You can create tasks manually on the Tasks tab. To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the button .

  2. Fill in the information about the task. The required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

Field Description
Unit* The name of the unit for which you create the task. To the right of this field, the following icon is displayed: Edit Icon. It allows you to open the unit properties.
Type The type of the task. The following types are available:
  • Custom
  • Fuel filling
  • Battery charge
  • Maintenance work

By default, the Custom type is selected.
Description* The description of the task. The field must contain between 1 and 1000 characters.
Assignee The user to whom the task should be assigned. By default, the Not assigned option is selected.

To view the created task, the assigned user must have the View object and its basic properties and Request reports and messages access rights to the unit.
Priority The priority of the task: low, medium, or high.
Filled* The amount of fuel filled. This field is displayed only for tasks of the Fuel filling type.
Charged* The amount of energy charged. This field is displayed only for tasks of the Battery charge type.
Cost* The cost of the fuel filling, battery charge, or maintenance service. This field is not displayed for tasks of the Custom type.
Engine hours* The value of the engine hours counter at the moment of the maintenance service. The current value is shown by default, but you can edit it.

This field is displayed only for tasks of the Maintenance work type.
Mileage* The value of the mileage counter. The current value is shown by default, but you can edit it.
You can’t specify a value which is greater than 2147483 km.

This field is displayed only for tasks of the Maintenance work type.
Duration The duration of the maintenance service. You can select days, hours or minutes in the drop-down list.

This field is displayed only for tasks of the Maintenance work type.
Date The date and time of the task creation.
Location The unit location at the moment of the custom event, fuel filling, battery charge, or maintenance work (depending on the task type).
  1. Click OK.

After that, the created task is displayed on the Tasks tab. The name of the task matches its type.
