A
Access right

Available actions include: notify by email, notify by SMS, send notification to Telegram, display online notification, send mobile notification, send a request, register event for unit, send a command, save video, change access rights, and others.
Activation code
A subscription-based code used to keep units active and available in services where the activation code system is enabled. Each code has a validity period that begins when first assigned to a unit and continues counting down even if reassigned. Units without valid activation codes are automatically deactivated and unavailable in the monitoring system. Codes can be managed in the Activation codes section of CMS Manager, purchased from service providers, and shared with subordinate accounts.
Apps (Applications)

Data can be imported from previously exported files or KML, KMZ, WLP and CSV/XLSX files. This feature is available in the management system and in the monitoring system.
Interval
Intervals help you to single out specific segments of information from a sequence of data or to set a specific time frame. In the monitoring system, intervals function in three distinct ways:
- Time intervals (user-defined): A specific timeframe that you select manually to generate a report, build a track, or request messages.
- State or activity intervals (system-detected): Periods automatically identified by the system that represent a specific state or activity, such as parking duration, fuel fillings, or time spent within a geofence. Intervals are a basis for most report tables: each line in the table is a separate interval.
- Service intervals: Pre-configured thresholds based on time, distance, or engine hours used to schedule recurring maintenance.
Time intervals and their use in reports
Interval filtering
Interval filtering is a feature in Wialon Hosting reports used to organize and categorize data. You can filter report data based on specific parameters such as duration, mileage, speed, driver presence, fuel events, sensor states, and more. For example, if you run the Speedings report for a unit, it will show you all the intervals when this unit exceeded the speed limit. But if you want to see only the speeding intervals which occurred while a particular driver was assigned to the unit, you can use interval filtering to specify the driver’s name (the Driver filter) and get only the required data.
J
Job
A set of actions which are performed automatically according to a specified schedule. Actions include sending commands, sending information about fuel, sending reports by email, changing access rights, and more. Jobs are configured on the Jobs tab.
L
LBS positioning
A method of determining a device location using cellular network towers (cell towers) instead of GPS satellites. LBS positioning is less accurate than GPS but works when GPS signal is unavailable (indoors, in tunnels).
M

Sorting
The distribution of information in a report table in descending or ascending order based on selected characteristics. Sorting can be applied to grouped data by any selected column to organize report information logically.
Statistics (report statistics)
Statistics is a special report table that includes summary data for the selected report period. It provides information about the report as a whole, such as the start and end of the report interval, number of messages, unit name, time zone, report execution time, and other data that depends on the report template type.
T
Tag
Keywords that are converted to actual values when a notification is triggered. Tags must be marked with percent signs on both sides (for example, %UNIT%, %SPEED%, %LOCATION%). They allow dynamic insertion of unit names, locations, speeds, times, and other real-time data into notification text.
Task
An event registered for a unit that requires specific actions from the user (for example, contacting the driver, checking data, leaving a comment). Tasks can be created manually or automatically via notifications and are managed on the Tasks tab.
